Hawthorn Berries – Dried

The thorny queen of the hedge row and of open fields providing a safe place for nesting birds and well known, as either a single, majestic sovereign tree with her children strewn about the field. The folklore around this healing tree is so steeped in ancient cultures, its folklore still spoken today. Studies show hawthorn berries have high nutritional properties – calcium, potassium, protein Vitamin A,B1, and B2, and zinc. The flavor is sweet, sour and salty with lots of pectin when fresh.
