Minglement started the organic food movement on the island as well as led the way to the use and support of farms offering of raw milk, goat milk and island eggs and was the go to for island farms like to sell their produce. Today, Minglement keeps things simple like the smaller European markets, where you can pick up what you need for the day’s meal. Choose among organic – high quality meats – many are from island family’s farms or fisheries as well as dairy, pantry items and produce from local food hubs and Island Farms.
Fragrant bulk herbs and exotic spices are complemented with a large selection of local honeys, high-quality vitamins, supplements, and carefully sourced body care products. Organic and no GMO. – Also, Many island families still buy from from their bulk buying co-op started over 45 years ago.
It is fitting that at the very heart of our island is a place to warm up with locally roasted coffee and conversation, as well as to shop at this very special marketplace that links to a nostalgic Vashon past
while also pointing to an essential vision of a healthier, greener future.
