Berberis – Officinalis barberry root – Organic

Oregon Grape root – This plant holds great importance to many indigenous tribes in this region, each with their own cultural practices around this plant and is a natural supplement for  many.  A mentor herbalist and friend and I wandered in a field, where appeared a giant oregon grape plant (Mahonia Aqualfolia). She was at least 40 feet tall. We were honored to have come upon her in the midst of everything growing in this giant field. We left a gift for her. We sell the root (not her root) and suggest as an alternative to golden seal which is endangered. Know your herbs. Infusion – this is bitter – add some honey.   4 oz.
