Cardamom Seed Decorticated bulk ORG – Elettaria cardamomum

A member of the ginger family and the fruits grow in a pod. Cardamom has a rich history dating back thousands of years and is so very fragrant! Use in breads, meats, chai, curries and coffee, beer and, as a syrup. It has also been used traditionally as a digestive aid as well as in perfumery.  We lightly roast ours in an iron pan before adding to our soup curry dishes.

Cows in India are often adorned with beads made from cardamom pods as a head ornaments. One was gifted to Peter, staff member and 4^th generation coffee and spice master roaster. Its beautiful.     3.5 oz.
